Meet Margot

Margot is a Licensed Massage Therapist and continues to thrive after over 29 years of immersing herself into this world of healing. She is the owner of the Healing Arts Studio.

Margot was introduced to forms of healing when she was white water rafting and ended up with a herniated disc from being playful and throwing a bucket of water. Through profound sessions of massage and acupuncture she was back on the river again. Margot graduated from Brian Utting School of Massage (Seattle) in 1997.

Her heart’s passion is to educate others about the amazing benefits of massage. Through her continuing education and experiences in life, she believes we all have that deep inner wisdom which can be cultivated by the willingness and courage to explore.

Margot has always enjoyed a variety of movement through dance and music, playing sports and exploring the outdoors. Through this curiosity of life, Margot has enjoyed facilitating in her clients’ healing process and teaching.

Over the years, owning her own massage practice, she has fallen in love with the roots of east asian medicine. A few of these healing techniques include: vibrational sound healing (the use of tuning forks to increase balance and harmony while reducing stress), moxibustion (the burning of mugwort which warms acupuncture meridian points with the intention of stimulating circulation and smoothing qi and Blood flow), and cupping (which helps joint mobilization, detoxification, decreasing inflammation while engaging the parasympathetic nervous system in deep relaxation).

She has a love for working with kids and hopes to cultivate a space where kids can come and be inspired through a variety of healing modalities.

Margot lives on the south fork of the Index River with her husband Bill and her dog, Holly. Her playtime consists of meditation, yoga, reading, gardening, cooking, playing her drum (djembe) and gourd shekere, dance, hiking, snowshoeing, spending time with family and friends and playing in the river.
